Areas of Expertise
During 1999 through 2003 I served as expert witness for both the Defense and the Prosecution in the “flipping” cases in Baltimore City and County. Over this period of time I was required to review more than two hundred appraisal reports and ascertain violations of USPAP and/or FIRREA and the standard of care associated with the day-to-day implementation of both. Additionally, I have performed FHA and FannieMae appraisals for mortgage brokers, bankers, relocation companies along with numerous local and national lending institutions. Since 2006, I have completed commercial appraisal assignments for Green Point Mortgage and their assigns, which includes but is not limited to Lehman Brothers Bank.
My role on the Residential Experience Review Committee for the Appraisal Institute required me to review levels of work product for those associates pursuing an SRA designation. This Board position permitted me to formulate and execute protocol establishing work products that will be admitted for all levels of review. The Residential Advisory Council, on which I served as Vice Chair, oversees all residential committees of the Appraisal Institute. This committee of eleven reported directly to the Board of Directors and was responsible for the direction and disciplines associated with the Appraisal Institute. In serving as past Education Chair of the Maryland Chapter of the Appraisal Institute it was my responsibility to provide both core classes and continuing education for local, regional and national requirements.
